Why there is no single local price

Stormguard Roofing’s Sunshine Coast guide does not publish a generic restoration price. It says the cost depends on the roof and the work required. That is one supplier’s approach, not a survey of local prices.

The main cost factors

  • Size and material. The area to be treated and whether the roof is tile or metal.
  • Condition. The extent of damage, failed pointing, corrosion or existing coating problems.
  • Pitch and height. The shape and height of the roof.
  • Access. How the roof can be reached and worked on.
  • Scope. The repairs, preparation, products and coating system included.

What about published price ranges?

A Brisbane example, not a Sunshine Coast estimate

Arden Projects’ guide dated 4 May 2026 gives a $3,000–$12,000 range for an average-sized residential tile roof in Brisbane. It discusses Brisbane and Logan, and says an inspection is needed for an accurate price.

This is not a Sunshine Coast quote, a local average or an RoofMatch fee. The cited page’s GST treatment was not established in the original site research, so do not add or remove GST from that range.

The $7,500 midpoint is arithmetic, not an average of Sunshine Coast invoices. Supplier comments about restoration lifespan are not a warranty for your roof.
